Alexandra Reza

Alexandra Reza is a writer and critic. Her writing has been published in the London Review of Books, Times Literary Supplement, Guardian, New Left Review, Dissent Magazine, Reuters and elsewhere. Her short stories have been published in The Dublin Review, Quince Magazine and Truffle Magazine. She is a BBC New Generation Thinker and has recorded features and essays as a presenter, commentator and speaker for BBC Radio 3 and 4.

Alexandra studied English at Cambridge University, did a PhD in Comparative Literatures at Oxford University and is now a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Literatures and Cultures at Bristol University. Her first academic monograph, Anticolonial Form: Literary Journals at the End of Empire, came out with Oxford University Press in 2024. Between 2024-2027 she has been awarded a Wolfson Fellowship by the British Academy to undertake new research into radical cinema at the end of empire.
