Katie Engelhart wins the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing
We are thrilled to announce that Katie Engelhart, author of The Inevitable (Atlantic, 2021), has won the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing, for her New York Times article, 'The Mother Who Changed: A Story of Dementia'.
The story is described as a 'fair-minded portrait of a family’s legal and emotional struggles during a matriarch’s progressive dementia that sensitively probes the mystery of a person’s essential self.'
The prize was announced on 6 May 2024.
