Andrew Roberts wins Bradley Prize!

We are proud to announce that The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation announced one of four 2016 Bradley Prizes will be presented to Andrew Roberts.

The Bradley Prize will be awarded to Andrew at a ceremony to be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. on 15th June. Each award carries a stipend of $250,000.

“Professor Andrew Roberts’s work has increased the public’s understanding of pivotal world events,” said Michael W. Grebe, President and CEO of the Bradley Foundation. “His important research and writings are crucial to understanding the context of historical events and their impact on modern times.”

The selection was based on nominations submitted by more than 200 prominent individuals across the country and chosen by the Bradley Prizes Selection Committee.

“Through the Bradley Prizes, we recognize individuals like Professor Roberts whose work inspires an appreciation of history and freedom, with the hope that others will strive for excellence in their respective fields,” said Mr. Grebe.

Founded in 1985, The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation is devoted to strengthening American democratic capitalism and the institutions, principles and values that sustain and nurture it. Its programs support limited, competent government; a dynamic marketplace for economic, intellectual and cultural activity; and a vigorous defense, at home and abroad, of American ideas and institutions. Recognizing that responsible self-government depends on enlightened citizens and informed public opinion, the Foundation supports scholarly studies and academic achievement.
