Diana Souhami shortlisted for the Polari Book Prize 2021
We are very pleased to announce that NO MODERNISM WITHOUT LESBIANS by Diana Souhami has been shortlisted for the Polari Book Prize 2021.
Now in its tenth year, the Polari Prize is the UK’s first and largest LGBTQ+ book award. Established to promote writing that explores the LGBTQ+ experience, Polari also focuses on amplifying diverse voices through a series of literary events, including the regularly touring Polari Salon.
The prize is awarded in two categories – Polari Book Prize and Polari First Book Prize – to celebrate emerging and established LGBTQ+ literary talent respectively.
The winner of the 2021 Polari Book Prize will be announced at an in-person event at the Southbank Centre on 30th October.
