Alice Morrison
Alice Morrison is a TV presenter, author and adventurer currently living in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Her BBC2 Series Morocco to Timbuktu saw her follow the ancient salt routes across Africa. Other adventures include the Tour D’Afrique - cycling from Cairo to Cape Town; running round Everest; the Marathon des Sables - the toughest footrace on earth and walking north to south Jordan. For her last book, she completed a 4000 km exploration on foot of Morocco and the Sahara with her six camels, finding a lost city and spaceships in the desert along the way. She speaks fluent Arabic and French and is learning Tachelhit. She is a TikTok star in Arabic. Her blog was voted best blog in Africa and her podcast, Alice in wAnderland, reached Apple’s Top 50. She writes for the FT, Telegraph, National Geographic Traveller, Wanderlust, The Great Outdoors and broadcasts regularly on the BBC and Times Radio.
“Everyone has an inner Adventurer in them, let yours out!” is her mantra.
She is the author of Adventures in Morocco, Dodging Elephants and Morocco to Timbuktu. Her latest book, Walking with Nomads was published on 17 March 2022.
