Dan Jones' Henry V shortlisted for the Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Dan Jones' Henry V has been shortlisted for the Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography 2025!

Henry V: The Astonishing Rise of England's Greatest Warrior King was published by Head of Zeus in September 2024 and was an instant Sunday Times bestseller.

The prize is awarded to a historical biography which, like Elizabeth Longford’s work, combines scholarship and narrative drive. Judged by historians and historical biographers, it remains the only literary prize in the UK awarded specifically for historical biography.

The winner will be announced at an award ceremony in London on Tuesday 17 June, 2025.
